Independence and how we are paid
Covered Weight is independent, not neutral. Independent means no partner sees a coverage record before it publishes and no payment changes what a document says. Neutral would be the wrong word for a site that takes referral fees, so this page names every partner, what they pay for, and where they never appear.

Why not neutral
A site that earns a fee when a reader buys something cannot honestly call itself neutral, and regulators read that framing as deceptive. Independent is the claim that can be kept: the commercial relationships are named, they are separated from the coverage data by a rule rather than by good intentions, and there are pages where they are not permitted at all.
The commitments
- No partner sees a coverage record before it publishes, and none can request a change.
- Payment never changes what a policy document says or how a status is labelled.
- Paid links carry a Sponsored label and a nofollow attribute, always.
- The disclosure appears above the first paid link on the page, never only in the footer. A reader who acts on a link halfway down a page never reaches a footer.
- No paid link appears anywhere in the appeal cluster. Not one page, not one section, no exceptions.
- No paid link appears beside content about side effects, contraindications, dosing, or a comparison of treatments. A seller next to a safety statement turns the safety statement into marketing.
- No paid link appears inside a tool result. The answer renders clean.
Why the appeal pages are protected
Two reasons that happen to agree. Selling to somebody in the middle of an appeal is predatory, and those pages are also the most useful thing on this site: a procedure, a forum and a clock are what a patient advocate or a benefits lawyer cites. Commercial links are exactly what stops that kind of site from citing you. Keeping the appeal pages clean is the better trade in both directions.
The partners
No paid link is live on this site today. The relationships below are registered and the components exist, and every one of them is switched off. This page lists them anyway, because a disclosure a reader meets for the first time on the day the first link appears is not much of a disclosure.

A partner selling a compounded product presented as the branded drug is not enrolled, at any rate. Refusing that money is the clearest signal available in a field where nearly everybody takes it.
What else pays for this
Nothing yet. There is no advertising, no sponsored content, no paid placement in any table, and no arrangement under which a plan, a manufacturer or an agency can influence what appears here. If that changes, it will be described on this page before it happens rather than after.
